It has been reported that outgoing mail was stolen from a neighbor's mail box. The mail contained checks intended for payments that  were ultimately altered and forged.  Law enforcement recommends taking your outgoing mail to a central drop box instead of placing in your mailbox for pickup. It's also recommended that bank accounts  be monitored closely for unauthorized debits.  And please, if you see anyone suspiciously driving slowly down the street, looking into mailboxes, call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office immediately.
